Building a world where all people can be happy

The AllPeopleBeHappy foundation seeks to build a world in which all people can be happy by attacking poverty as a primary cause of unhappiness.  The foundation supports new and innovative efforts to combat poverty in the developing world.

Please plan to join us for the 3rd annual meeting of the AllPeopleBeHappy foundation on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 2-4 pm at the Houston Arboretum - 4501 Woodway Drive, Houston, TX 77024.

We will update you on projects currently being funded and announce the finalist for a new volunteer service grant initiative we are piloting.  Our featured speaker this year will be Matt Mitro, founder of Indego Africa.  You will be inspired to hear how their vision of "using the power of social enterprise to transform the lives of economically-vulnerable but highly-skilled artisans in Africa" is becoming a reality in Rwanda.

Update - Friday, February 26, 2010

We have initiated an AllPeopleBeHappy Volunteer Service Grant.  Dedicated overseas volunteers not only donate their time, but they have to pay their own expenses and often are expected to contribute to the cost of supplies and services.  We will be offering matching grants to help offset these expenses.  For the Summer 2010 awards, organizations currently receiving AllPeopleBeHappy foundation grants have been invited to submit applicants.
